Our series, Meet the Locals, walks you through the lives of people all around Haiti, and is a great way to learn more about life on the island. Meet Rolando, Olguens, Fedson, Francky, François, and Choupy: the Chapichou Boys! Based in Petavie between Marigot and Cayes-Jacmel, this group of dynamic, young Haitian entrepreneurs hand makes reusable bamboo straws in an effort to not only encourage sustainable consumption, but also to utilize the resources around them to start a business.
